Isn't money God, really?

If you have enough of it, you can do whatever you want... Buy whatever you want. Numerous people who even claim to be religious have told me that for enough money, they would kill someone. Even human lives are not exempt from its purchasing power. There's nothing it cant do. This does not bode well for faith in god, considering the fact that people would do anything for God money.
