How do i convince my mom to let me date this guy?

Well I'm 15 years old and my mom won't let me date, she says i have to wait until im 16 but thats only 6 months away.. I think I am really mature for my age but i just dont understand, my mom apparently doesnt see that. She barely even lets me go out with friends, let alone a date with a guy. Theres this guy that i really like and hes 18, my parents are meeting him this thursday. We use to be just friends but now we both are starting to really like each other. I know how to handle myself and not put myself in a bad position because i know my consequences. She thinks im going to go out and have sex but thats honestly not what im looking for in a guy, i want him to be there for me and a bestfriend but my mom thinks i want just physical attraction with a guy. Last week was the last week of school and we had exams but me and him were both exempt from our classes so we didnt have to go. so while my mom thought i was at school i hung out with him the whole day, we even went to his house, nobody was there and nothing bad happened, all we did was sit on the couch snuggled together and talked. I wasnt going to let it get very intimate at all. And he even respected me, and i told him straight forward that i didnt want to do anything like that. So, mainly I just really want to hang out with him by ourselves alot this summer because in august hes going away to be in the army. We dont have to be alone, we can be in the public eye. i just dont want my mom to be there. she thinks the reason i dont want her supervising us is because i want to do something bad but its only because it makes things akward. What can i tell my mom to just let me go on a date with him?
